If We Can Build a Brain, What is the Future of I?

I have been sharing engaging video segments on the brain featuring neuroscientist Dr. Kenneth Hayworth, courtesy of filmmaker Johnny Boston and the Galactic Public Archives, and here is Part 3 in the series:

Powerful central question: if your brain is you, and science can create a duplicate of your brain, who are you then? Two entities? If you find your own subjectivity fragmented in our great age of information, will this possible future take it to another level? Or perhaps, as Dr. Hayworth suggests, will it be the opposite: might you realize somehow that we’re all the same person? We are one? Either way, we are likely to wrestle with profound questions of identity in the coming years, if we’re not all doing so now.
